LUXEMBOURG – They advance in the middle of passers-by with their equipment on their backs and criss-cross the country. Walkers from the giant Apple are in Luxembourg until May 23.
They appear sporadically in the middle of passers-by with their equipment on their backs and crisscross a corner of the country, as here in Pescatore Park, in the capital (photo above). These are the walkers of the giant Apple, who take pictures for the cards of the apple brand. The goal: to improve the Maps mapping service, by collecting data where a vehicle cannot pass.
The backpacks you come across take pictures of the surroundings and scan them with laser radars. Apple is committed to using the same privacy protections as for cars. These walkers will be in the country until May 23.
