The most home-delivered pizza isn’t the one you think

When the news fell in our inbox, we didn’t really believe it at first. Then, we reopened the email, in order to have the heart net. And the observation is clear: the most ordered pizza online, and therefore delivered at home, is not that of a restaurant chain like Pizza Hut or Domino’s, but a real traditional Neapolitan pizza. In this case, that of Big Mamma, offered by its Napoli Gang service.

The study conducted by the analysis institute Foxintelligence shows that Napoli Gang is ahead of Five Pizza, Pizza Hut and Domino’s in market share. A first and a sign of a small revolution in the world of pizza delivery.

Launched in 2020 by Tigrane Seydoux and Victor Lugger, the founders of Big Mamma, Napoli Gang “has become the leading pizza delivery player in Paris in less than 18 months with more than 400,000 homemade pizzas and nearly 50,000 tiramisus”welcomes the group.

“Napoli Gang started with an ambitious project to deconstruct received ideas about delivery and ‘dark kitchens’, to break the codes to create a new model, eminently virtuous, in order to finally deindustrialize pizza in delivery, and to offer an authentic Italian pizza of ultra-quality.”

The service is now available in London and Madrid, but also Paris, Lille, Lyon and Marseille. In Paris, Napoli Gang has nearly six kitchens “for almost total delivery coverage of the capital”.
