While Naples is the city where pizza originated, there really isn’t a Neapolitan pizza recipe. On the other hand, the two jewels of the city are the pizza marinara, made with tomato-garlic-oregano-olive oil, and the famous pizza margarita, with the look of the Italian flag (green-white-red), created in 1889 to honor Margaret of Savoy, Queen of Italy.
Here we offer you eleven variations to make with a simple pizza dough : the emblematic of the talie, but also more original recipes like a sweet pizza with banana and Nutella. If you can easily find a ready-made pizza dough on the market, the ideal is still to make it yourself. To do this, dissolve 7 g of baker’s yeast in 2 tablespoons of lukewarm water. Pour the mixture with 220 g of flour into the bowl of a food processor fitted with the dough hook, then mix on low speed. Add 7 g of salt then 1 teaspoon of oil and increase the speed. Mix to obtain a homogeneous, slightly firm and elastic dough. If it’s too dry, add a little water to make it smooth and not sticky. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place. After this time, spread the ball with your fingers on a floured work surface. If you make the dough by hand, it will take a long time to knead it so that it doesn’t stick.
